French startup introduces quasi-immortal sensor that requires no energy to function – SilMach’s ultra-low-cost microsensors can be used in a dizzying array of use cases

France 2030 is a €34 billion strategic investment by the French government with the aim of boosting economic growth in the country.

As part of this initiative, the SIRCAPASS (Surveillance of Road Infrastructures by Passive Sensors) project has commissioned French company SilMach to provide ultra-low-cost microsensors to monitor and ensure the structural health of bridges across the country.
